Whichever you choose, gas pistons take the weight so the platform rises smoothly and stays open on its own, even with a mattress on top. Closed, the base sits flush with no handles or drawer fronts breaking the line.
Vertical channels run the full height of the headboard, giving the wall behind the bed texture and rhythm. The base is kept plain and low, with no footboard, so the bed feels lighter and the room more open. It’s a clean, modern silhouette that suits a bold colour like navy velvet as easily as a soft neutral.
