How to Choose the Right Bed

Measure first, then browse. Leave at least 60cm of walking space on any side you use, and check ceiling height if you’re considering an ottoman.

Match the base to the mattress. Memory foam and hybrids do best on a slatted ottoman. Sprung and pocket-sprung mattresses are happy on either.

Think about the fabric in daylight. Velvets read darker in a north-facing room. We’re glad to advise if you’re torn between two shades.
